Yorkshire Cricket’s Safeguarding Team are delighted to announce their Safe Hands Courses for 2024
This season, Safe Hands Courses in Yorkshire will be delivered throughout February to April. Yorkshire Cricket Club say, 'We are working more proactively and want to support clubs in becoming compliant ahead of the cricket season. With this in mind, we encourage clubs and leagues to check the expiry dates of their training and qualifications and enroll on one of the courses we have planned. We will not be planning any Safe Hands Courses during the season; therefore, it is important that should your qualification expire, you enroll on a course before the season. If not, you’ll be non-compliant during the season which could impact on promotion, funding, Club Mark status and competition results.'

Safe Hands Course
The Safe Hands Course is a three-hour, in-person training session which usually start at 6.30pm. It is highly interactive and equips CSOs with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively carry out their role. Our ECB trained tutors are experts in their field and are available alongside a member of Yorkshire Cricket’s Safeguarding Team, to answer any questions or offer more tailored support. Following the delivery of a Safe Hands Course, all attendees will receive copies of the presentation and a certificate of attendance (with their photograph displayed) together with supporting documents to assist them in their role. The courses are charged at £30 and include light refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits. In recognition of the excellent work carried out by CSOs, it is hoped that any cost will be incurred by relevant clubs and not individuals.
Our courses are designed to be inclusive; should you require special assistance please get in touch with the Safeguarding Team on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
